January: Counting in Tagalog, Bisaya, and Ilokano

We’re excited to start the New Year learning a new language of the Philippines! Let’s break down how this is going to work:

At the start of the month on our blog and on Instagram, we will be posting a word of the week. The word with pronunciation will be featured during the week in Tagalog, Bisaya, and Ilokano. The pronunciation is especially helpful for parents who don’t speak the language.

Around mid-month, we will host a giveaway for a FREE Filipino children’s book. The languages will vary, so this month might feature a Tagalog-English bilingual book, but next month could be a Bisaya-English bilingual book. You will have multiple chances to enter this sweepstakes by doing some social sharing. The words you have been learning on Instagram will match with vocabulary in the book. This way, you’ll have a head start on reading the book with your little ones!

At the end of the month, we will randomly pick a winner for the giveaway. But even if you didn’t win the prize, you still come out a winner for sticking with the new vocabulary for the whole month!

Take a moment to follow us on Instagram, so you don’t miss anything! Sige na! (Just do it!)
